How Filtrete™ Technology Works
The superior filtration performance of original Velco filters is based on 3M Filtrete™ technology. The electrostatically charged fibres attract fine particles, allergens, and other airborne contaminants like a magnet, enabling even the smallest particles to be effectively captured from incoming fresh air. The electrostatic charge also allows the filter to be thin and highly porous, ensuring efficient airflow while trapping harmful particles.

Fine particles (< 2.5 μm):
Emissions from wood burning and vehicle exhaust, fly ash from energy plants, direct particle emissions from industrial processes, transport of particles from forest and wildfires.
Inhalable coarse particles (2.5-10 μm):
Dust from traffic, asphalt dust, dust from gravel and road salt, soil dust from construction activities, handling of materials in industries, energy production, ports, mold spores, pollen.
Replace regularly!
By regularly changing the filters, you ensure good indoor air quality. The appropriate replacement interval for the filters depends on the location of the building. For instance, heavy traffic areas and areas with high pollen-producing trees accelerate filter contamination. The filter should be replaced as needed, which is usually when its color has noticeably darkened, approximately twice a year.
