Silencers for fresh air valves
Sound attenuation is an essential aspect of building comfort, particularly in areas where external noise can reduce indoor living quality. Fresh air valves form part of the building envelope and must therefore provide adequate sound insulation in addition to their ventilation function.
Velco offers effective sound attenuation solutions for fresh air valves in buildings where reducing road traffic noise, aircraft noise, or other environmental noise is essential. Our extensive range of silencers, manufactured in Finland from materials that are safe for indoor air quality, significantly reduces noise transmitted from outdoors.
A silencer can be selected as part of a new valve or purchased separately for retrofit installation.

RE-Silencer Disc
RE silencer disc is installed inside the ventilation duct and is made from a dense compressed material (recycled polyurethane foam, PUR). Its outer surface is protected by a black polyurethane film, making it durable and moisture-resistant. If additional sound attenuation is required, multiple discs can be installed in the same duct.

ÄV-sound silencer tube
ÄV silencer tube is installed inside the ventilation duct and significantly improves the duct's acoustic performance. It is made from dense polyurethane foam with a durable black polyurethane film on the outer surface. The material is non-dusting and moisture-resistant, ensuring a safe, durable, and long-lasting solution.
The silencer tube can be easily cut to the required length during installation to fit the duct.

Combining an ÄV silencer tube with an RE silencer disc provides an effective solution for significantly improving the duct's acoustic performance and sound insulation.

Louvre silencer
Louvre silencer is installed directly inside the valve, beneath the filter. Its streamlined design ensures minimal pressure loss while providing effective sound attenuation. The silencer can be easily cut to the required length during installation.
It is manufactured from environmentally friendly recycled compressed polyester foam.
- Compatible with Velco VT-125 and VT-160 vents.
Silencer for wooden ventilation window
The sound trap is designed for installation on wooden ventilation hatches and effectively reduces noise transmitted from outdoors. Mounted to the exterior of the ventilation hatch with screws, it is easy to install and is also suitable for retrofit applications.

TS soundproofed wind grille
Soundproofed wind grille incorporates a bitumen layer that reduces structural resonance and improves airborne sound insulation. It is available in two sizes. Its carefully designed shape helps protect the exterior wall from rainwater exposure and minimizes water streaking.
Available as standard in five colours: White, Terracotta, Grey, Black, and Brown.
Large model – TS, 140 × 140 mm
Can be fitted with an adapter for Ø80 mm, Ø100 mm, Ø125 mm, or Ø160 mm ducts.
Small model – TSP, 195 × 195 mm
